Newaygo County Republican Party
Core Values and Beliefs
Newaygo County Republicans share a strong religious foundation which provides a common bond. Faith and belief in hard work and personal responsibility undergirds who we are and what we do.
"What constitutes the bulwark of our own liberty and independence? It is not our frowning battlements, our bristling sea coasts, the guns of our war steamers, or the strength of our gallant and disciplined army. These are not our reliance against a resumption of tyranny in our fair land. All of them may be turned against our liberties, without making us stronger or weaker for the struggle. Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in our bosoms. Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands, everywhere. Destroy this spirit, and you have planted the seeds of despotism around your own doors."
A. Lincoln -- September 11, 1858 Speech at Edwardsville
We are committed to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Michigan Constitution. We advocate the core values of the Newaygo County Republican Party. We are dedicated to finding and supporting candidates and elected officials that adhere to our core beliefs.
We believe in returning to our foundation, honoring the God-given morals on which our Nation and the Republican party were founded.
We continued to pursue our goals and fought for a better future for everyone.
Our vision is to share our core beliefs, recruit and support exceptional candidates who adhere to the Constitution and honorably represent their constituents, aid our elected officials, and recruit new members.
